I have a weird obsession with roads. Since I was 14-years old. I remember that I bought a magazine in Slovakia and there was an article about Iceland. I was fascinated by an image of a road and it became so important for me that I kept it until July 2012 (so I had it for at least 14 years hehe). It moved with me everywhere I lived and I had it always on the walls of my rooms – many, many rooms in 4 different countries. Until, I hit the road myself and started taking images of the roads I traveled. I can’t find that image anymore, maybe it got lost or maybe it lost the purpose of it’s existence. I just have an image of that image 🙂 And many more of my own images. I’m happy that I decided to travel and experience what I always wanted.
Which of the roads do you like? You can check them for your travel inspiration… and my current inspiration? Make it up to Alaska one day and finish the “Pacific” route of America. I have no idea when I’ll get there, but I’ll get there and complete this photo album.

Wow, I love your photos. They are so atmospheric…and look at that shot of the ocean in Bolivia, gorgeous! I have never been to Alaska, but my father said it was stunning. I’m looking forward to seeing your photos over there.

That one form Bolivia is very special, it’s in about 3500m above the sea level and I took it from a bus window, so the quality is not the best – but I’m still happy about it. And about Alaska… let’s see when I’ll get there. Maybe I’ll be 70 years old hehe. Safe travels to you too and lot of energy for your blog posts 🙂

Beautiful photos! Roads…the problems with roads – of any surface – is that I want to follow each and every one. So many, so little time, but I am doing my best. You are giving me more forward motion.
Thanks Karl! I understand your “problem” of following each and every one. Well, you have to choose one after another. I’m a bit tired of traveling right now, so my current road is from the hostel to the waves and back 🙂 safe travels!
