Casa del Arbol – a magic swing in Ecuador
I noticed lately that different online magazines (e.g. Bored Panda) use my photo that I took at Casa del Arbol, in Ecuador. It makes me kind of happy that my image is shared, I just hope that they also share a link to my Unboxing traveller blog 🙂 Because for everyone who is crazy about this magic tree house with a swing, I have something special. Here comes a little “Casa del Arbol” photo album.
Enjoy!
How to get to Casa del arbol? You have to be in Baños de Agua Santa in Tungurahua Province. This town is in the elevation of 1815m above sea level, so you either have to take a bus or hike to Casa del Arbol (a trea house) that is in the elevation of 2660 above sea level. I highly recommend to walk there, it is a bit hard, but definitely worth it. The views pay off the sweat 🙂
When I visited this place, I didn’t sleep there, but there was a bunch of typical Argentinian hippie travellers who were camping there for a really small amount of money. But I wouldn’t trust this, the man who lives here and is responsible for this place takes the decision of how many people can stay here.
When you visit this place, please check if my name is still written below the left window when you walk up to the tree house. And let me know… Gracias 🙂
