Photo essay: Patagonia, the trekking paradise

This post is dedicated to all the people that I met during the last month, traveling down from Santiago de Chile and trekking with in Patagonia. When I started traveling in South America, I had this little dream of trekking and discovering the magical places of both Argentinian and Chilean Patagonia. But I had also too much respect and I didn’t know how to exactly organize the treks, how to get a tent, what to eat, etc… So the truth is, that I wouldn’t make it without all of you that I met along the road and shared great moments with. For example: walking steep treks, sweating, getting wet in the rain, cooking in the camp sides, sharing tuna cans, sharing tents, singing, drinking wine, and the most importantly admiring the nature. Thank you girls and guys, I hope that we will all meet in some “campamento” again and share good moments and eat more tuna or cookies with marmalade and peanut butter ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is the TOP photo selection of the best of the best treks/mountains that I took. It should serve as an inspiration for all “potential trekkers” that are still in doubts whether traveling to Patagonia or not. Go for it!!!

Cerro Campanario, Bariloche, half day trek

Cajon del azul, El Bolson, 2 day trek, 1 night camping

Lago de los tres, Fitz Roy, El Chalten, 1 day trek

Perito Moreno, El Calafate, 1 day trip (not really a trek ๐Ÿ™‚

Glaciar Grey, part of W trek, Torres del Paine, 5 day trek, 4 nights camping

Torres del Paine, part of the W trek, 5 day trek, 4 nights camping
